One Donation Alert Setup, Every Platform: YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Instagram, Facebook Gaming and X (2026)
Most tipping tools tie your donations to one platform. Stream Alert does the opposite. Set it up once and the same UPI alerts follow you to YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Instagram Live, Facebook Gaming, and X. Here is why that works, platform by platform.
TL;DR
- The alert is a browser source in OBS, so it works on any platform your OBS points at.
- The money is UPI, which reaches you the same way no matter where your viewers came from.
- Works on YouTube, Twitch, Kick, Instagram Live, Facebook Gaming, and X with one setup.
- Multistreaming? You still set it up only once. No per-platform cut - your UPI goes straight to you.
Why it works everywhere
Here is the thing most tipping tools get backwards. They bolt your donations onto one platform, then act surprised that you feel stuck. YouTube Super Chat only works on YouTube. Platform-native tipping only works on that platform. Stream Alert goes the other way, and the reason is almost boring: it never touches the platform at all.
Two pieces make that true. The alert on screen is a browser source in OBS, and OBS has no idea whether it is pointed at YouTube, Twitch, or Kick. To it, an overlay is an overlay. And the money is UPI, which lands the same way whether your viewer wandered in from a YouTube search or a Kick raid. So the exact setup that fires an alert on your YouTube stream fires the same alert on every other one. You configure it once, and it follows you around.
A donation tool that only works where you happen to stream today is a tool that punishes you the day you move. I did not want to build that, so I did not tie any of this to a platform login.
Platform by platform
The short version is that all of them work the same way. But since people ask about each one, here is the honest state of each:
- YouTube. The most common home for Indian streamers, and the one where Super Chat quietly keeps around 30% of every tip. A UPI alert over a browser source sidesteps that entirely, and your viewers pay with the app already on their phone.
- Twitch. Bits and card tipping barely reach Indian viewers. UPI does. The alert rides in through OBS just like on YouTube.
- Kick. Kick is newer and growing fast in India. Because Stream Alert is just an overlay and a UPI detector, it worked on Kick before Kick had much of its own tipping story to tell. Nothing special to enable.
- Instagram Live and Facebook Gaming. These lean mobile, where on-screen alerts are rarer. If you run your broadcast through OBS (many creators do), the overlay works exactly the same. If you go phone-only, the Android app still catches the UPI payment even if the overlay is harder to place.
- X. Broadcasts on X are still broadcasts. Same browser source, same UPI, same alert.
If you multistream, you still set it up once
Plenty of Indian creators push to more than one place at a time, YouTube and Loco, or YouTube and Rooter, together. The nice part is that none of that changes your Stream Alert setup. There is one alert box, and it shows the same alert to whichever destinations your OBS is sending to. You do not maintain two configs, and a viewer on either platform triggers the same moment on your stream.
Nobody takes a cut on the way through
Worth saying plainly, because it is the whole point: the platform does not touch this money. Your viewer pays by UPI, it goes to your account, and we take zero commission. You pay a flat subscription and keep everything your fans send. Compare that to Super Chat skimming a third off the top, and the maths makes itself.
FAQ
Does it really work on Kick?
Yes. The alert is a browser source and UPI is platform-independent, so Kick works with no extra setup, same as YouTube or Twitch.
Do I need a different setup for each platform?
No. You set up the alert box once. The same overlay and the same UPI detection work everywhere you stream.
What if I multistream to two platforms at once?
Still one setup. The alert shows to every destination your OBS is broadcasting to, no duplicate config.
Does the platform take a cut of the donation?
No. UPI goes straight to your account and Stream Alert charges zero commission. You only pay a flat subscription.
